Mexican Trash

Because I can't really think of another name for it, I call it Mexican Trash. It's sort of a Dorito casserole. And is seriously NOMMY.

You will need::

1 bag Nacho Doritos, crushed.
2C shredded chicken
2C shredded cheese--or more (I always use more!!)
1 Can Cream of chicken soup
1 Can ro'tel tomatoes
1/2C sour cream
1/2C milk
1/2 package taco seasoning (or more if you'd like)

Preheat your oven to 350. Spray a 2 quart casserole dish with nonstick spray.
Mix together all ingredients BUT Doritos.
Layer half the Doritos (about 2 cups) on the bottom, then spread half the chicken mixture, rest of the Doritos, and the rest of the chicken mixture. Add more cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.

I usually double the recipe and cook it in a 9x13 pan for 45 minutes, just so we can have leftovers the next day.

Finished casserole!!!

Kleancolor Holo Blue

I am bringing to you today the amazement that is Holo Blue by Kleancolor.
Yes, I'm a little biased....I have a hardcore crush on everything Kleancolor. Crush aside, this color is awesome.

TADA!!!!!!! Holo Blue.

This is three coats with a coat of Seche Vite over it.
This color is fairly sheer, and you can tell that even with three coats it's still not completely opaque..
I normally use this over a black or a blue polish, but it also works really well on it's own.

This is with one coat.

Here is with two coats.

And with three coats, before SV.

Here it's a little blurry so you can see more of the sparkles.

And finally with a flash.

Honestly, I've got to say that this is one of my favorite polishes, either as an accent to a solid color, or built up on it's own.

Lime Nails!!

Oi!

So...I'm in a group on Facebook that is full of awesome and win...and there are weekly nail challenges, makeup challenges, all sorts of things. This weeks nail challenge was "Citrus Nails" and I said to myself, "Self, I think we can do this." So I did.
Well, I tried at least. I kinda failed. But we won't talk about that.
I'm gonna post some pics, and I ask you to not judge me, mostly because I did these while at work, and I don't have the proper tools for the design I did..Soooo keep that in mind =]

I used Kleancolor Neon Green and White for the drawing.

Like I said, don't judge for the sloppiness..I used a staple to draw this on...lol

I used the flash on this picture trying to get the true color of the green. It really is a neon in person, but my crappy camera makes it darker.  The flash makes it a little closer to true color.

Purple Week, Day 5

So, I'm in a group on Facebook and it has been decided that we do something purple every day for a week. This is my day 5.
Kleancolor Metallic Purple with Holo Chrome over the top.
I absolutely LOVE Holo Chrome. I made an order specifically to get this color. It goes over EVERYTHING and looks fabulous!!!

Seriously.....look at all that sparkle!!!!! It's amazing, and I'm in love!

Pizza Casserole

This recipe is simply amazing. It's like awesome set up camp in my mouth and is having a party. The whole family loves it, and that really says something, when everyone can agree on something being good.
This recipe is so versatile too. You can change things around to suit your needs, and experiment with different things. I'll add some suggestions of what I have done with it at the bottom.

Ingredients:
1.5 lbs hamburger
1 bag egg noodles
1 large jar spaghetti sauce
3 cups mozzarella cheese
1 bag pepperoni
You'll also need a 9x13 baking dish

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350.
Brown the hamburger. Cook noodles according to package directions.
Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Then layer in this order::

Half the noodles
Half the hamburger
Half the sauce
Rest of noodles
Half the cheese
Rest of hamburger
Rest of sauce
Rest of cheese
PEPPERONI!!!

Cover it all with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 15 more.
Make sure you let it set for about 10 minutes. I found out the hard way that the sauce needs to thicken up before you can eat it.

*Things I have done to tweak it*
When browning the hamburger, I add in some garlic powder, onion powder and italian seasoning.
Substitute hamburger for sausage.
Ricotta cheese along with the mozzarella.
Using pizza sauce as well as spaghetti sauce.

Oh so yummy in my tummy!!

It'll probably look a little something like this. I only had half a package of pepperoni, but that doesn't make it any less yummy!!

Mermaid nails!!

A Facebook group I'm in does weekly "challenges" for makeup looks and nails..and this weeks nail challenge is mermaids!

Bored at work, and I decided to go ahead and try it out... Unfortunately, I don't really like my mermaid nails, and will probably end up re-doing them sometime this week.

I used Kleancolor 'Mermaid' and 'Disco Ball' with a coat of Seche Vite over it all.
